Silver Plated Decoration by Manfred Veyhl. Porcelain Blank by Carl Tielsch Hutschenreuther. 1930-1939.
"In 1931 the German Silversmith Manfred Veyhl began a small decorating firm in Plüderhausen, a German town near Stuttgart. He purchased blanks from fine German porcelain makers including Carl Tielsch Hutschenreuther. He applied colours and heavy silver overlay, using his own designs. The manufacture ended some time in the 1950s. He did services, cups and many vases. His work is quite scarce.
The Carl Tielsch factory (C.T.) was in Altwasser, Silesia, Germany. In 1932 Carl Tielsch merged with C.M. Hutschenreuther Porcelain Company. In 1945 when the town of Waldenburg was invaded by Russian troops the factory was put under Polish rule. The Tielsch family fled, losing their castle. 'C.M. Hutschenreuther A.G.' lost the complete facility in Altwasser and was forced to expand the Porzellanfabrik C.M. Hutschenreuther A.G., Niederlassung Arzberg factory to compensate for the loss in production capacity. The factory there continued to use the mark which included the initials 'C.T.' with the eagle for a short time .
One reason for the success of Carl Tielsch was that he had a very large product range, starting with normal household pieces, going over hotel porcelain and ending with luxury goods. In addition, the facility always had the best designers and decorators. At first, Tielsch only marked his products with the initials 'TPM' which stood for 'Tielsch Porzellan-Manufaktur.
